Topic: Sportsmobile Penthouse

Anybody know anything about the Sportsmobile Penthouse set up for VW buses?  I just got a 1971 back home and as I am assessing all that needs to be done I see the top is not Westfalia, but a Sportsmobile Penthouse.  It seems to be lacking any kind of mechanism to lift it and any kind of side curtain/tent.  Any ideas where a guy might find more info about one of these units?

there is even a split window conversion shown in the pics

I checked with the folks at Sportsmobile, they no longer have any info on the units they installed on Volkswagens, so I am looking for anyone that might have some info, any thin could be helpful.  This is not a show type project, but a camper to use so even if I have to adapt something else that would be fine also.
