Topic: turn signals

On my 68 beetle,my turn signals quit working. I used to be able to wiggle the wires on the ..little black box...this no longer works. I have two wires on this  where 2 or 3 wires could fit. How come I have A silver flasher with 4 wires on it along with this black box. I feel something is missing or I don't have it hooked up right.    thanks a.d.

When in doubt, refer to the original wiring diagram. as long as your bugs wiring still shows its original color coding, you should be able to follow this easily. Or, you may need to replace your relay and flasher.
