Topic: my first break down and road repair!

I'm new to the classic VW community, and just got a 67 bug. Was driving yesterday, and right after leaving a VW place, lost complete fuel flow. would crank over easy, got spark, just no ignition. took a screw driver and looked at the hoses coming to and from the fuel pump and carb, blew into them a little, and she started back up. It's a great feeling, especially since i'm a young guy, and am just getting into all of this.  Its a small thing, but you gotta start somewhere.

Just thought I'd share the joy, since no one was around when I yelled in excitement on the side of the rode. Now im just hoping my fuel pump isnt going to completely conk out, or i have rust in the fuel lines.

Hey! Glad you got her back on the road! Bug fuel pumps are very durable as they are splash lubricated from the crankcase, but anything is possible...
