Topic: A 'Click' when i turn key, then starts OK

Occasionally, I will turn the key and there is a 'click' from somewhere (not in the ingnition/steering column area), maybe the starter or some other part.    Just clicks, and doesnt start. Anyway, I turn it again and it fires up perfectly.  Any thoughts, is this someting that is going to just soon be permanent?  thanks

What year? Could be a bad ignition  switch, starter, poor connections etc

Poor connections are a good start. Even if there is another problem poor connections will add to it. Also it's pretty easy to fix and no doubt needs doing.

Start with the battery connections at both ends and the starter.

Thanks for ideas.   This is a 70 bug, all original parts pretty much.  Regulator and coil are new, but not much more.
