Topic: Defrost tubes

Long time since last post, I've been busy restoring my 68, got it painted and started the assembly process.  I can't find defrost tubes(paper ones from behind front wheel well to defrost channels) anywhere.  I've called all the big name California companies, spent hours searching for them online.  Any help for purchasing or making my own would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Defrost tubes

VW Mexico used molded plastic defrost tubes on the 1990s-2004 production that were quite nice. You might check with Antonio (partsvw@hotmail.com) in Mexico City as he gets many of the factory parts and will FedEx to the US.

Re: Defrost tubes

The paper tubes in the A pillar are the same as used in the engine compartment. Check the size and they should be available. I have instructions for replacement if needed.
