Hiya burr,
It has been quiet lately, hasn't it? You can almost hear the tumbleweeds blowin' through Dodge City.
Sean has left us for the Dark Side. Dunno what's become of Yancey - I'm hoping he's busy as Hell.
Maybe those VWs out there are just a runnin' fine right now and nobody has anything to post up about.

There's only one thread I tend to check on the other site, but this place is a daily stop for me.

I'm still here also, just don't have much to contribute. It's cold, we just had 8" of snow my back hurts from shoveling. The bug won't start, not that I get to drive it much this time of the year. The Ghia quarter windows are still pissing me off. One of the few bright spots is my wife is going to visit her mother next week, rather than her coming here.
From reading Sean's posts on the other side, he is confusing them as much or more than us here.

I sit and look at my car everyday waiting for winter and it's salt to go away.
I also consider selling it to help fix some financial problems --my husband won't let me--this is pretty much the same scenario I play out every new year at this time.
I try to read everything you guys post. I have noticed some new blood with some pretty ornate questions -- it's still pretty good here!

And I think we can all agree that Winter has to be the worst time of year, at least to us air-cooled car junkies. Just today I went out to my garage, looked at my '68 vert, then to my '53, thinkin about the joys of summer, just cruzin' down those quiet roads, then out towards the country with the top down. (or with your car Patty, the windows down. Hope you dont have to sell it. I hate myself for sellin my '58 project to some kid in Missisauga who plans on choppin it, and puttin a subaru engine in it :s I hate the thought of it.)

Still here as well; work's been busy and I haven't had much of anything to comment on (which is fairly typical, actually....). But now that Burrhead's mentioned cookies, where's the samples??!? :-)

The other site, also known as "The Dark Side", is The Samba. This is just a smaller, nicer group of people. Sean is Candymustang65 or something like that.

Gee I feel sorry for you guys. Your missing a whole new experience in your Beetles.
Driving them in snow is a riot. I love doing donuts in the snow or pulling "on the spot" U turns.
It's cold here but no salt and with 4 studded tires and gas heater I'm good to go.
Should we go to the other site and razz Sean?
