Topic: anybody parting out a split window bus? or know of one in the bush

Howdy Gang,
I'm looking for some parts for our '56 Dove blue panel project.
We need:
Drivers door complete (glass and all) Dove Blue would be perfect
Choke cable assembly
F/R bumpers
Engine cover( with brake light)
windshield glass (X2)
rear hatch glass

We have a '62 panel and SC parts + a lot of other VW parts for trade

You should post in the Victoria forum, lots of splittie fans in there and usually a good number of parts floating around.  http://vvwc.ca

Where at in BC are you?

If you take the 90 minute ferry ride on the COHO ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles, WA. there is a VW shop here that has a HUGE collection of split window busses and parts.
Here's a couple sitting outside their shop. They have a few more too. It's called Happy Motors. 360-457-7184

Now that's what I'm talking about, that Dove Blue bus in the foreground is exactly what I'm looking for.

(They are sort of close but still pretty far away I figure 800miles each way)

Well, that's quite a drive for bus parts, but if you'd like a few more pictures of the parts you're looking for I only live a couple miles from there. I'd be happy to take a few for you.

They also have a ton of parts that are not on vehicles. I'm sure they'd have everything on your list. I go up there regularly so I can scope it out for you and let you know if they have anything worth driving that far for. Shipping is also an option too.
