Topic: Burr!

I ended up buying a 99 GMC Sonoma extra cab. 95k miles very clean and no damage. Never towed with it or put anything in the bed. Power everything and it all works. He had seat covers on the seats so they look new. He has replaced the alternator, radiator and front brakes. Selling price $4150. That leaves me with cash in the bank and my Sally still. I think my wife wants me to sell it but it is still in the driveway. I am unemployed right now so this makes sense. I can't get payments without a job!

Not a proud owner of Sally 1969 Sedan with a burned 1915 tiger under the deck lid.
Also George a 1957 Sedan, not yet started with Resto.

Ah, the American way,  "payments".
What is this "cash" word? I thought we were becoming a cashless society, my home is.
Have a communications problem with the wife? LOL
Maybe you should take your extra cash and fix up Sally (she's a high maintenance gal!) and sell her for cash to fix the 57!!
Good Luck on your job hunting.

Re: Burr!

Yeah no, Sally is cursed with fire. I think she will be sold at some point. The 57 sit quietly in the garage and that one will be a good car too.

Re: Burr!

My wife just bought a truck too as an investment. A 1998 Western Star vacuum truck. GVW 54,000 lbs. The Alberta Oil sands are shut down and they are auctioning off tons of equipment. She only paid $24,000, it's worth $50,000 at least. It has a $15,000 vac pump on it. Just got it safetied for $200 so it was well kept.

A pair of Snowmobiles on a trailer went for $2500 Cnd. The trailer was probably worth that.
