Topic: Turning "Smiles" On

I think that I've seen this question asked before...so I searched using about ten different phrases to try to find the answer...but the searches don't turn up anything useful.

In my profile (display section) I have the "box" checked that says "Show smilies as graphic icons"...but when I compose a reply to a thread...at the bottom of the message window it says:

- BBCode: on
- [img] tag: on
- Smiles: off

I'm not sure how to get "Smiles" turned on.

Thanks Clancy.  Most forums I belong to as a default...have the simple smile emoticons enabled such as:

wink smile sad yikes tongue  ....etc.
