After all these years porsche is once again affiliated with VW. The initial result was obvious...Porsche came out with a 4 door passenger car and prior to that they had been tooting the horn of an SUV with a 500 BHP power plant,,,hold on kids and dont let little timmy's car seat get sucked out the sun roof! We're racin now! (Chuckle*S*)
But seriously...now they have a real issue at hand... Kyoto compact and hang up yerhelmets or screw the carbon tax and continue to build thoroughbred Porsches with the performance that has made them one of the top contenders of the ALMS every year and continue to be the dream car of every man who has ever wanted to see what 200MPH in a go cart feels like.....though it is not at all a go cart, it is very responsive to even the slightest steering wheel movement... AKA... BONDED TO THE ROAD...MAN -MACHINE-ROAD at 200MPH...It is ....the best.....feeling..... since sex

It's my understanding that Ford is working on a new type of ignition or spark plug design !
My understanding is that they are fitting a Infra Red lense in place of a spark plug !
Then they shoot a Laser thru the Lense intoo the combustion Chamber this Ionizes the Oxygen molecules and produces a spark anywhere that it is aimed in the combustion chamber !
Beleive it can produce a spark in the combustion chamber in under a 1/100th of a Nano Second wich ='s a 100/ millionth of a second !
This leaves the possibility of Multiple spark's being produced per each combustion cycle allowing for the actuall detonation to be managed in it's entirety !
Conventional combustion is only like 30% efficient as we know it today ??
This Multiple spark in under a 1/ 100th of a Nano second aimed anywhere in the combustion chamber would or is suppose to be 1000 times more efficient than conventional combustion !
Not only can you Manage the Detonation But the article went on to also explain that the Infra Red Lense would also work as a Receiver ??
Meaning that By useage of the Light Spectrum you could use the Infra Red Lense receiver as part of the Combustion Management process allowing information of an incomplete or complete combustion Burn to be processed intoo your ignition timming etc. / ECU unit ??
