Slow times on the Volkswebbin front. I myself have been knee deep in boxes and boxes of new parts for a 79 Triumph Spitfire that I am restoring for my mother.

Cool Mother !!!

SU carb with the little pistons? Lucas lights? Love the way the hood opens though. Fun to drive for sure. I had a '60 MGA when I was 17 (1970) and my friends had '62 Sprite and a 50 something MGTD. Funny we all eventually ended up with VW's.

I've been consumed with learning Corel Draw to do electrical diagrams mostly for VW bus auxiliary power setups. Believe it or not I like electrical work. I'm facing body work this summer which I am apprehensive about. It's like carpentry, a little too artistic for me.

I scored Corel Draw Select Edition at a thrift store for $2. What a fantastic program. Everything I want to do is just scratching the surface. I'm a thrift store addict. I know when they get there deliveries and I get there first.

I'm floating somewhere off the coast of Africa living my VW dreams vicariously through the posts of everyone else and plotting the things I'm going to do to my cars when I get home!

Re: Knock, Knock......

I am here! Well, I haven't been but I am again. What a nice color for your Bug Anthony, yum.

I have been catching up on the posts here lately. As much as I can. I sure hope all of you are doing good in this economy and not been laid off or out of work as myself.

There is more time for my VW's but no income means no new parts anytime soon. I have plenty of welding to do on my '57 Canadian Beetle so that will keep me busy.

Welding might just help me out this summer. There seems to be plenty of people I know that need some and still have jobs. The only thing keeping me afloat is that I
paid off my house last Fall! /sigh

Anyone in the Minneapolis area need some welding done on their 'dubs? hehe smile

What a great day it was for a spin to!   It only stalled once-hahaha!
But I still gotta figure out what happening with my clutch.
Happy spring everyone!

Been a busy brutal winter for me.
Bought this two years ago and stashed it in one of the garages. Been playing with it now and sprucing it up for the spring.

Re: Knock, Knock......

That's better.....for a day or so all I saw were "guests" on the Index page. Just wanted to make sure that we didn't have one of those strange "unable to Fetch" moments. Hey, I guess we do all have lives outside of Volkswebbin!!

Thanks for touching base.
