Topic: Tech Tip: Accessory position for key and a headlight buzzer

If you want to listen to your modern stereo with the key off there are only a few alternatives.

1) Switched power wire always on> drains battery even when off, worse if left on
2) Toggle switch for switched power> clumsy and ugly
3) Hidden switch> clumsy
4) Door switch and 4 relays> can't play stereo with door open and wiring is complex.(suitable for pre buzzer cars)
5) Buzzer wire and relay> Stereo stays on until you pull the key out of the ignition.

This is a plug in modification that is easily reversed. The headlight buzzer is an optional spin off mod using the same circuit.

My solution: No radio. At my age the engine sounds better than what's on the air.

Thank You guys for all your input, I have found the original switch with 3 & 4 spades.  I will order 2 just in case this happens again.  Thanks to Rudi in Calif.      Cuse
