Topic: off topic thread

Who would like to see it? If it is even possible? I would vote for it. That way if you didn't care you wouldn't have to partake of it.  We are from all walks of life with alot to offer other than air cooled car questions. If you doubt that I urge you to go thru the past post. Gipper, sean's,hank and his habitat,TomB just to name a few since I have been around.
I know some here who don't even read the general stuff as they are so wrapped up in "cars".
As always these are just my opinions.

Re: off topic thread

I thought that was what the General thread was for. It is nice that this site is very casual and we don't need full time moderators, except maybe when Sean and Ryan start to disagree.

Re: off topic thread

Sure.  Although a few years ago someone did a post in the General forum about various Generals, now it seems suitable to post about various less General topics too.

Re: off topic thread

General isn't specific is it Burhead? I am busy getting my cold ones down and then on to the Madori Margaritas! I am not ready to spill my guts here or anywhere, but I can put my two cents worth in. Life is one long education. Sean you get that? You are still being educated even though it's not formal.

Re: off topic thread

i am sorry i started something but what happened. I believe that if you want to ask a question you should ask it no matter what it is and no matter where it is. I gave that right to every american when i served my country during the gulf war of 1991. so I do agree with every one that we should be able to say and ask what we want on the general post.

Re: off topic thread

Of course we should...and if everything goes ok with your new girl, maybe you will have something you can post in the "EVENTS"  forum in the near future....just a hopeful thought...

Re: off topic thread

If you don't like a thread don't read it or post to it--that way it will just go down the page and disappear--no problem.

Gee,I don't know. I really don't hang out at any other sites but I do have this problem, But then the doc said I had enough group therapy ,so no, not at this time. But thanks for asking, Jim wink wink  But you never know when the blue pill will not kick in and I might need some advice on  my lack of love life. But I guess I'll know who not to rely on. LOL
So far it looks like it is OK to post in the general section about non car questions.Good
Ask away, It is OK beetlejuice don't let them get to you. Glad you are able to ask us about such things and that you are comfortable here.

Re: off topic thread

OK, now I've heard just about it all. K-Y for windshields? It never complained with the Vaseline before tongue

Re: off topic thread

I guess this is as general as general gets , but you know its good to have threads like this one where you can talk some BS and nobody gets too offended ,even if its off topic of aircooled bugs

Re: off topic thread

Vaseline is petroleum based and it may attack the rubber (not sure) so KY is a water based alternative. Hey my wife believed me when she found it in the glove box.
