Re: OK, We Found Burrhead...Now What's Happened to "kgray"??

Thanks guys....  But I'm alright.  I really thought about things late last night and realize that I don't want for anything, so it's all ok.  I'll make enough money with financial aid, my little jobs and hopefully some help from the gov't.  I think that once in a person's life, when they really need the help, they should be able to take advantage of the things they've paid for all their working life.  I just need a little help right now, and I'm going to use the resources that are available.  I've always helped and given and donated clothes, etc so I don't feel bad asking this time.

Yes, it'd be nice to go back to making the fairly decent money I was making before, but if I can just sacrifice for a year and not buy those lovely shoes at Macys (oh, the heartache......The Fall Season is just starting!!) then I'll really be fine.  <wink>
As long as the kids have everything they need (which they do) and we have a roof over our heads and food on the table, then we are blessed far more than many people in this world.
Once I get my Medical Assisting thing done, I'll make more money and have an actual Career, which is what I'm trying to do at this point.  Plus, that is a very stable and growing field, PLUS, who knows, I may go on to get my RN degree and that'd be great too!
Executive Secretary, Administrative Assistant just isn't cutting it for me anymore.....
However, once I'm in the medical field, I'll only be able to wear white, closed toe shoes.....  Oh dear....  I may have to go to therapy.

Brett,
I wish you were closer to FL, I'd definitely ask you and your bulging muscles to come over and help me with that dang horn.  smile   However, I do feel a bit intimidated by the thought of tackling that alone (electrical wires......<cringe>), so until I can either afford a mechanic or find someone nearby who does horn work for cookies I guess it'll have to stay that way.

I might get to feeling really feisty one weekend and decide to tackle it, and when I do......I can PROMISE you there will be a post asking for help.

Yes it must be tough with the fall shopping season here but then I 'd not know as I'm not a fashion expert. But by next year you will be the envy when you will be done and have your training.Unless you have to spend it on your kids to keep them in style. Nothing like teenagers to sap your resources.
I had  a bumper sticker~ Horn broke watch for finger~ Maybe on my trip I could find you one to(or is that too,or maybe 2,one for each end?) put on Sally till her horn gets fixed.Try and fix it,it doesn't work now right?
Keep on the sunny side,it's better here.

burr...
yet another vague hint as to the secret location of the bat cave.......I've got to start keeping track of these little tidbits and perhaps one day I can pull a Sherlock Holmes and figure out where you are!

I've heard of that sticker, burr.  Hilarious, actually.  If you find one, let me know and I will trade cookies for sticker.  Hopefully your cookies would get to you lots faster than they got to jamesdagg and scubadad.

My horn does not work at all right now.  It never has.  It's frustrating to me, because I feel like I'm sorta small sometimes (my car that is, not me personally!) and it'd be nice to have a horn - just for recognition and to avoid getting merged into.  That's my biggest road fear....getting merged into.  I think people don't look.  Once, when I had just started driving, a huge semi merged into me and just mangled the side of my 1970 Buick Skylark with those studs on it's enormous wheel and pushed me into an enbankment.  It just kept right on going as it had no idea it even did it.  I was trapped in my car as it had mangled the drivers door shut and the other side was in bushes!  I steer extremely clear of semis at all costs ever since then.

lol Now I see my trip to Bonneville just got extended as I can taste the cookies now. How many truck stops between here and there to stop at. Prolly should start my trip now!!
MMMMMMM Drool  I promise right here on this forum to trade you (and divulge to you, kgray)my bat cave address. Sorry Nick but I'll almost do anything for cookies. Maybe kgray could shape them like a bug or put in some grasshoppers while cooking so we don't get kicked off volkswebbin LOL  MMM pecans, chocolate chips, grasshoppers(chocolate coated?) MMMM  I guess now that it is safe to have some sent to me since everyone who received some are still kicking.
burrhead (good thing daydreams aren't fattening)  MMMMMM cookies MMMMM

burr,
You take your time with this....  I know it's hard for you and I'm all about no pressure.  So whenever you're ready, I'll bake for you.  However, I definitely DON'T do chocolate covered grasshoppers.  That makes me have a gag reflex.

(Thank God he doesn't know that kgray has actually assumed the pen names of scubadad and jamesdagg and posts for them in order to cover up their untimely demise due to Evil Volkswagen Girl Cookie Poisoning.......  Mwah ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..............<lightning flashing, mad scientist shadow on the wall>)

BTW jamesdagg, I just finished scraping the last of that melted chocolate VW you sent me off the frozen plastic today.  I believe in slowly enjoying the things you love.....like chocolate Volkswagens that melt in the swelter of a Florida spring.....)
