You Guys Miss Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have no idea how much seeing this thread just made my day!
I haven't been having the best of life since back from CA the beginning of August. Couldn't find a job to save my life so was extremely depressed.
However, today has been a good day and I'm feeling better about things.
I find that everyone had a little bit of it right, so here it is: I did have to get a new "real" job in April. My old (wonderful) job had the hours cut to part time so I had to find a full time job. I found a new full time job and absolutely hated it to death. So, I quit in June and went to California for 7 weeks. Family ,friends, etc. But I had the most wonderful time out there - it was so beautiful and to see people I haven't seen in years was a huge blessing.
Came home to Brevard County, FL and the unemployment is at a 13 year low. I have never not been hired for jobs I've applied for and I sent out a zillion resumes and noone even called.
Very depressing.
So, resorted to a 15 hour a week work study thing at the college making minimum wage. And today a lead that a friend of a friend gave me panned out and I now have 20 additional hours at a little more than minimum wage. So, it'll all work out. I guess what I have to be thankful for is that I qualify for enough financial aid to pay for college and books in full and then can get student loans to help with cost of living. Welfare is going to hear my name as well....!! My focus is now mainly on doing well in my courses at college so that I can get my Medical Assistant certificate next December and then not have to worry about making minimum wage anymore!!! (However, it has been a LONG time since I made so little money, even with no college degree....)
So, I'm back. Kids start school on Monday, I start school on Monday, I start new jobs on Tuesday, Sally is running fairly well (came here to find out about adjusting that idle again, as it appears that she's idling really low and wanting to almost stall out on me again when I come to a stop). Checked out the technical forum and then came to general, read about Burrhead's adventure going out to the Salt Flats (BTW, if you haven't seen the Anthonly Hopkins movie, The Indian, you must see it. It's about the Australian guy who won the land speed record there and held it for many years.)
OK....enough rambling. But, I'm here. Going to get very busy with work, school, kids, life..... I'll be around. Hope you're all doing well and that everyone had a great summer.
