ok found out that it ain't the solnoid. Don't know what it is now mite get a new starter. Found a red wire underneath with a push in conection. Thinking about rigging up a push button starter. So some questions A. what's the wire that I found B. what do you guys think of the push button starter idea.

If the red wire w/ the push on connection was hanging near your starter, I think you should plug it into the spade connector on the end of the solenoid and see where that takes you. Should be a thick wire and a thin one coming from your starter, do you have both?

yes there was two on the starter. I have one thick and two thin wires. and the wire that i found is red and has a grey sleeving
