71: A flat windshield Super (model years 1971 and 1972) were referred to as Model 1302. The curved windshield Super that started in 1973 was referred to as a Model 1303. These numbers had nothing to do with the engine.
If you see a 1300 it signifies a 1300 cc engine. The 1966 model of the Bug had a plate on the rear deck lid that said 1300. See:
