It was beyond awesome! I couldn't beleive they thought 2,000 were to attend. I was told over 8,000 were there! A record breaking event! It was so huge that I could not even see everything. I never have seen so many cars dragracing! It was an absolute mind blower! I took my two boys and they loved it. My son is building a 68' converted to Right Hand Drive. A beautiful car! He enjoyed seeing the beauful painted and fast cars. We are all burned with rednecks it was so hot! A great event. Brought back memories when I was a kid at OCIR. I look forward to attending the next one. I recalled the memories watching Gene Berg when he was at the old Bug-Ins. They even mentioned Auto-Haus from the 70's where I used to buy my "Cal-Look VW parts. I never thought I would look back and be this old to say I was part of a nostagia era.

Wow ! I Didnt Know The Exact Stats ! But There Was Sure A Lot Of People There And I Cant Really Say That I Have Ever Seen Any Event As Large And As Many Volkswagen On Display As This One. I Really Enjoyed Seeing The Nostalgia And Recognizing The Older 70 's Crowd That Were Reminiscing On The Old Bug Ins As Well As Bringing Their Old Vdubs To Race From The Garage. It Is Also Nice To See A Huge Diversity Of Europeans , Japanese And Latin Americans Attending This Event. Since The Euro Dollar Is Stronger , I Think The Prices Were Cheaper To Them. All I Can Say Is That This Is An Amazing Event And Not To Be Forgotten. I Am In My Mid 30's And I Give My Absolute Respect And Admiration To All The Pioneers Of The Southern Cali Volkswagen Crowd That Kept It Strong In The 1970's. My Hats To You Guys ! And Pass It On The Generation-
