I Went To Drag Day And What A Damn Beautiful Day It Was Amid All The Rains We Have Been Having In So Calif-- I Cannot Say Any Bad Things About The Event Because The Turnout Was Numerous And All The Cars Came To Race 100 + Were Just A Sight To See. My 2 1/2 Year Old Son Who Lives And Breathes Cars Really Loved It And Cried At First Because Of The Loud Noise But As Soon As He Realized That The Cars Were There To Race He Could Not Be Pulled Off The Benches. The Southern Cali Crowd Really Represents A Breed Of Long Vw History And I Was Impressed With How Few Breakdowns There Were . A Friend Of Mine ( Loves Japanese Racers) Never Knew That Vw Can Go So Fast And Do Great Burnouts And Wheelies As Well. He Was Just Dumbfounded By These Cars !!! I Dont Know If I Converted Him To German Speed But I Think Most Vw Lovers Have To Have A Gene To Love This Type Of Car. I Scored On The Swap As Well- Five Dollars For A Thermostat- Rod , Bracket And Cooling  Shutters Complete !!  20 Bucks For A 1 1/2 Qt Sump. How Bout That ? Vw Drag Lives On As A Great Event !! Southern Cal Cars Are Pretty Awesome And Really Great Support From Vw Lovers !! Highly Recommended
