Topic: VW Club in Boise Idaho
Anyone know if there is a VW Club in Boise Idaho. I am in the process of restoring a 69 Bug and am interested in becoming a member if I can find a club.
Thanks!

OK...with 20 people looking at this...maybe there is interest in a club? If so, please drop me an EMail and maybe we can get something going.
I'm looking at starting a Treasure Valley VW Club. Anybody with any interest, questions, or information can contact me by email at fladjer@lycos.com or by phone at (208) 863-1681.

hi my name is Bruce Kitchen I am also looking for a bug club in idaho, something that dosent cost an arm or a leg. please call me and leave a mess @ 704-6127 i have three bugs a 73 super, 72 super and a 66 baja.
I would like to join a air cooled vw or baja club. If anyone knows of one in Boise please let me know.
The club in the treasure valley is called the Bus Pilots Association. (not just for buses; we have custom, classic, baja, things, t3's, campers, hoodrides, etc... come one come all!) We have some fun events planned this year.
We meet every friday unofficially for lunch at the FlyingPie on Fairview. Also we have monthly meetings every 1st tuesday of each month from 7-9. The March meeting will be held at our old meeting location; the Idaho Pizza Company off of broadway. From April on we will be meeting at the Cobby's on Chinden in Garden City.
Feel free to e-mail me about the club or questions in general! Check out our forum for details on events and other fun runs.

Yes, we are in need of a local club/forum in Boise. Has this been started yet?
I own a '72 Super that needs a lot of work. I have not owned a Bug before and have not been able to locate any good reference books. I tried to speak with the 'local guru' but he was too rude and busy for me.

Welcome! Don't know about Boise clubs but with a couple of good manuals and Volkswebbin's technical section you have a lot of information available.
I'd suggest you start a new thread in the technical section introducing yourself and car and include pics of the car and it's engine if possible. You'll get lots of ideas where to start and then start a new thread for each job you tackle.
The Hayne's manual at $25 is a bargain and a good start.

Then get the official manual, the Bentley. The two go well together.

Or if your more of a visual learner these are good.
