Topic: Questions

I search the old files for my username and find nothing.  What am I doing wrong?
When I go to the archieves technical it say "next 1,2,3...273,274 previous" or something like that.  How can I go to page say 70 without stepping through all the nexts?
It appears that every time I submit a message the machine says that my user name is used by someone else.  So I had **.  How do i get the computer not to keep telling me my user name is already taken?

He should be able to answer your questions with respect to logging in and posting, and perhaps add a feature to allow you to jump right to a certain archived page. Good luck. Clancy

PS: if you go to the archived pages and hit on the second page ("2") and then look up in the address bar, you will see something like:
http://www.openroad.ca:/volkswebbin/viewforum.php?f=5&topicdays=0&start=50

Note the last 2 characters are "50"....If you now go up to the address bar and "edit" it to something like:
http://www.openroad.ca:/volkswebbin/viewforum.php?f=5&topicdays=0&start=3450
you will be taken to page "70". This is due to the fact that there are 50 threads listed per page. I discovered this a few months ago and should have posted my discovery...its great if you want to "scroll" back in time quickly.  Clancy

Re: Questions
