Topic: go to the events forum for a good chuckle

You guys just crack me up.  Marvelous. Brian

Re: go to the events forum for a good chuckle

I appreciate your sense of humor Brian. The guy I was talking to (60 sunroof) has a real nice 1960 sunroof volkswagen that he couldn't just leave alone. He stuck something like a 4956cc engine in it with carbs as big as milk jugs, external oil cooler, tranny straps, holes in the fender wells to change his plugs, special racing oil, etc. etc.  It looks like a smurf herbie on steroids. (just kidding Rich!) He bent his speedo needle in third gear! The 67 deluxe story was inspired by this other dude who removed his nice beautiful sliding sunroof (which was just in need of recovering) to install a big piece of plexiglass with screws to hold it in. To seal it from leaking he duct taped all around it. I was just kidding about the "60 sunroof" he done a great job, and it looks good, and sounds really good. Any of you "Purists" out there have any horror stories to share?    Yancey

One thing I have always wondered.. if you put a beetle body on a pan backwards, do any of the bolts line up?  Brian
