Topic: teardrop tail lights wiring

I am putting teardrop tail lights in my customized bug. No
directions came with the lights. There is only two wires coming
from the teardrop lights, a black one and a green one. The light
grounds to the fender through the bolts on the fixture. I'm sure
one wire is for the tail light and one is for the brake. My bug is
a 74 standard beetle. The left tail light has 5 wires on the
harness. Brake, tail, signal, backup, and ground. How can I wire
up the teardrop tailights?

@@ You need a universal European to Anerican trailer harness adapter
and you loose your backup lights. You'll find instructions in the
trailer adapter pretty straight forward.
