why can't i get my starter motor off?
shouldnt the top bolt be accessible from the engine compartment?
i cant find the damn thing

I can't remember exactly which way around it was but yeah I think the
top bolt is either in the engine compartment (behind the fan) or
else its on the same side as the starter motor...I think its also
one of the mounting bolts for the engine ? (i could be wrong about
that)

>The top starter motor bolt has a special head with a locating flat
on it so you have to undo from the engine side. The bolt passes
through the starter motor flange, g box housing and the engine
casing and the nut / washer is at the top right hand side of the
engine casing. Difficult to see as it is well behind the fan
housing......good luck
