Topic: Emergency Brake Cable Question

Hello all,
I finally started my long overdue brake job, and all is going well
so far except for the emergency brake cable replacement (61 Bug,
completely stock brake system). I am able to reinsert the new cable
from the rear, but am having issues trying to get the end that goes
to the e brake handle to cooperate. I finally was able to fish it
out with a coat hanger, screwdrivers, a needle nose vice grip (and
several choice words that would make a sailor blush). Is there an
easier method to doing this that I'm missing? Any advice would be
most appreciated.

That WAS the easier method - be glad you didn't try the other one...
