Topic: master cylinder

changing from single to dual master cylinder, have all new hoses &
lines and put on dual master cylinder and it would get any pressure
or any brake fluid from resivour.i primed it some still nothing, only
thing i can think of is that the rod that comes from the pedal is
shorter because of the single system master cylinder and i need a
longer one,can i adjust it do they sell those or do i have to make
one?
thanks...joe c.

Re: master cylinder

joe: As far as I know replacement ones are not available. You must
look in the salavage yards. Make sure the piston in the new master
cyl. is coming all the way back agenst the snap ring. Then adjust so
just a little free play is present. Make sure the pedal is coming
all the way back every time. Vic www.vwhelp.com
