Topic: 74 beetle floods

My 74 beetle with a pict 34 carb floods large amounts of gas into the
intake after being run. Fist start of the day it starts no problem,
But run it for a minute the shut it down and wait a minute then try
to start it and its flooded. gas just keeps driping down from the
carb.

Matt, you either have a bad fuel cutoff valve in the top of the
carb, or you need to add another brass washer between the valve and
top of the carb, or the float has gotten "heavy" or has absorbed
some gas and needs replaced. The only other thing I can think of is
that the fuel pump is pumping too much fuel pressure.
