Regarding the 1300 engine in your 65 bug. Your car was built between
12-64 and 6-65 and it seems the engine was manufactured between 7-65
and 12-65. I have read that some beetles sat at the factory while
waiting for engines to be built and since the 1300 replaced the 1200
during mid-year they may have a few delays. I hope this answers your
