Topic: 58 spingplate angle

I seem to be having trouble getting the correct rear springplate
angle on my 58 euro bug. My book says 17 which is way to much. I
set it at 13 and with the body off the pan, but the motor in, the
swingarms are almost bottomed out. When I put an addtional 400lbs.
(me and two friends) the tire angle is still toed way in! Any
suggestions out there?

When you put the body back on and roll the car forward, it will level
out. Trust the book.
