looking for overview of VW info...

Hi,

as a relatively new owner of a 97 GTI VR6, I am interested in making
some
minor modifications to the car. Unfortunately, I do not know all
that much about VW's and aftermarket equipment etc.

I am looking for a few things to get me a little more "aware"...
Firstly, what ever happened to the VW water-cooled FAQ. The
http://www.metrics.com site no longer has this FAQ

Secondly, does anyone have any suggestions on good reading on VW's.

Lastly, I am also looking for recommendations on aftermarket
suppliers in Canada. (I'm in the Toronto area, but as long as the
supplier is in Canada, that's fine by me.)
