jetta radio

I have a 1998 Jetta and the radio jsut stopped working - no
indication of any power going to the device. It was weird - was
working ine - I parked it to go itno a store - when I returned it
was completely dead. Do you think it's a fuse problem? (I hadn't
thought about that until I read an earlier post). I hope I don't
need a completely new radio. Although it would be nice to get move
up to one that plays CDs !

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Karen
