Topic: I took it out last night!
It's been a few months now and it needs an airing out, feeling couped
up, cramped, and in much need of coming up for air. I couldn't fight
that restless feeling so I decided to take a peek and see what was
going on. Looking unused and shrunken up in 10 degree weather, I
reached down and under and touched it. I ran my hand over it, along
side and finally down the back. Wondering how it would spring to
life, I decided to expose the little guy. Like an unvailing, there
it was, before my eyes, all primed and ready to shoot out the door.
I decided to get comfortable with it, feel it wrap itself around my
body and breath in the aroma only old horse hairs could emit. I
pumped it a few times, took a deep breath and turned it on. It's
alive!! Coming to life!! My whole body was shaking with excitement.
After a moment, it was time to let the little guy do what it does
best. I open the garage door and ripped right out into the midnight
air. We cruised for a while under a full moon then headed home. More
snow tonight, salt tomorrow, guess the little guy has to go back
under wraps. But boy, I can't wait for spring!!!
