Sam: Yes, I visit there occasionally, but usually find more useful
info here. Too much "stuff" to wade through on the Samba. But I
really like their search function, and their classified ads and have
found some real treasures for sweet prices. It seems that there is a
certain amount of bullet-proof ego necessary to visit/participate in
many of the discussion forums there, however. In many ways it is
like you're not really a member of their "club", so be careful what
you say. I've had the same feeling when I visited some of the bigger
California shows recently...great selection of cars for show, great
selection of parts for sale/swap, but some of the comraderie from
the 80's and early 90's seems to be missing. More focus on making a
buck. Just my opinion, your mileage may vary....Some of the threads
on the Samba are very entertaining and can grip you like quicksand
if you're not careful! I'm glad the Samba exists (we need variety to
spice up our lives) and wish the regulars there nothing but the
best. Ok, that's my 2¢ Clancy
