Topic: vw quick shift kit

Hey I cant figurre out how to install a quick shift kit for my 72
superbeetle. Ya know the one that uses the stock shifter and uses a
metal plate.

undo the stock shifter, take it out and rub alot of KY jelly on it.
If you have some left over just rub it all over yourself. Put the
plate on the tunnel, install shifter. Then rub some more KY onto the
shift knob and shift very fast back and forth for 1 to 2 minutes

I have the same question... i went through about 100 of the previous
threads to make sure no ones asked it recently. Anyone have a more
helpful response?
