Topic: Thanks for the info HumveeW!

Since it is Sunday I'll have to wait to give the 516 number a call,
but I will check out the LiMBO site right now and thanks for such
helpful advice. Now I just have to figure whether or not this Westy
is even worth restoring as I gather you can get a pretty clean bus
over the net somewhere in the $2,000 -4,000 price range....

work on a 70 somethin Volkswagen Thing , runnin a 1776 motor. Anyhow
it was a Thing that had been Baja,d and Painted, and sett up too
look like a Hummer . The vehicle was sold some where in Southern
Calif. High Dessert area. and if memmory serve,s me right on the
back of the car passenger side ? Was painted the name Lil Hummer .

Hi Sean, No, that is not me. The name came from having an '87 Vanagon
Syncro, that I have modified to include both front and rear locking
diffs. Front lockers were never available in the US.

Anyway, this vanagon goes off road like a Humvee, hence the name.

was Neighbour,s Idea . Was cool idea ? Black convertible topp , with
the dark green paint job. Big flat black, brush bumper,s, front rear
, all raised up , with bigg tir,es , Suprisingly looked a lott like
a Hummer scaled down version, Wasnt to hard ta do either told
neighbour we should, start kitt bussiness for volkswagen thing,s .
<<<Car sold quick, not sure how much he got for it , But im bettin
it was close too 10 large . Just thought maybe it was you, that
bought it. Been few year,s back when we built it i did the axle,s on
it and rear bumper and think i built the motor when i was workin for
another guy . Not sure but just be aware there,s probably another
HummVee W out there in this big world
