Topic: fuel injected auto-sticks

Does anyone out there know where I can find a fuel injected autostick
bug that runs or for parts? I live in Michigan so it needs to be on
this side of the country. Thanks.

They don't exist. The last autostick was 74 and the first FI was 75.
Its my theory that VW didn't want to bother with the R&D to do an
autostick version of the FI engine because sales of autostick were
so low that it wasn't worth it.

They really do exist. I have a 75 superbeetle la grande bug with fuel
injection and an autostick transmission. The Robert Bentley manual
talks about them briefly.
