I really know nothing about the TDI Jettas, but I'll shoot an
opinion...
If I were you I'd check my fuse panel. There might be a fuel cut-off
solenoid whose fuse is blown, and perhaps it affected the dash
lights as well.
Of course, if a fuse is blown there is probably a reason behind it -
one that will blow another fuse.
Sorry to be of so little help. I'm sure somebody else knows more.
