I have a question thats driving me mad, are all 75 Superbeetles "La
Grande Bugs"? Or was that a special edition for that year?

sales of the beetle

It also only came in two colours- metallic blue and green. It had an
"upgraded" interior and sold for more originally. It was one of VW's
final attempts to revitalize dying sales.
If you need more specific information, email me back.

Wayne, The only 1303 Beetle Sedan aval in the USA in 1975 was the
"LeGrande" Bug. Yes it was intended to help boost sales, but across
the model range. It was a carry over from 1974's "Sun Bug" It was
avalable in the same Harvest Gold as the Sun Bug as well as Viper
Green & Arcona Blue. All 2 stage metallics. All had Cordoroy Trimmed
seats & upgraded carpets. Sunroofs were Std. The Gold cars had Mocha
Brown interiors, the Green cars had Baleric Beige interiors & Blue
cars had Medium Blue. There was a special "Leather" grained steering
wheel & shifter. There was also a matching key fob & dealer
installed 'LeGrande' tag for the deck lid.
