RVJS: Not trying to discourage you but did you notice that the original posting was made exactly 4 years ago???
If you look at the post right above yours, he was asking $9000 Canadian......If you also notice, he included his email in the original posting.....
Good luck.

Tom: That is great news! Congratulations! I think you need to post some pictures like Scott did of the new addition to his family. Be sure to give Amy a big hug from all her Dad's Volkswebbin buddies!!!

John: Also check to make sure that the coupler bolts are clamped down really tight on the steering column and the steering box. I had a loose one once and it acted just like you described. Has anyone (including yourself!) messed with the adjustments on the steering box? If so, it is possible to overtighten something and cause the "jump" that you've noticed.
Yes, Couplers are readily available like:

and

Good luck.

Bonemaro: I have no idea as to the answer to your question, but you might want to give these guys a call:
http://www.bugtrans.com/
http://www.longenterprises.com/
Either one should be able to answer your specific question.

John:........watch out for spiders!

John: I know that the stock location for the gasoline fired heaters on the later Buses was right between the longitudinal frame members. Could that be what you're looking at?

Yancey:....<psssst> check out the title of the post......."Oil pressure issues on a 1.6 AS engine"

Paul: Regular split-ring lock washers or "star" washers are usually the culprits. The not-so-routine "Wavy" washers are very suitable for carb use. ...they don't dig into the carb alloy.

Tony: How is the filler hose? And the gasket beneath the gas gauge sending unit on the top of the tank? All the other little rubber hoses and connectors should be changed out just for good measure.
