yeah plus it needed a new paint job so yeah I'll save the 2k and chuck it into the one I got already. Would've been good to have but the guy said he wanted the 2k to buy his wife another car and it seemed to me that if they wanted to get rid of it THAT BAD it'd work out but yeah I took another person with me so not to get suckered into it so.......yeah I looked at the NADA price was $1975. So yeah awell they'll be other ones so

what dose the driver's side door jam say?? On mine it says that it was made in 11/71 witch technically would make it a 71 but mine has a 72 VIN but I'd look at the manufatur month/year

hey none taken!! I wander dose painless wiring(or any company) make a replacement wiring kit by chance?? The spring on the carb is'nt the problem, I don't believe. I'd prolly be better off just replacing the clutch and accelerator cables sounds like. Or is that bearing cross shaft go acrossed both cables by chance? I know that the interior of it is kinda rusty. As for the fuse/starter comment I know it's not the ignition switch b/c that was one of the first thing I replaced(no keys). The battery terminals have been freshly cleaned, I think I'll have to look next time I'm down there.

ok I have the Chilton manual so lemme look it up................................................................................................ok I found it I'll have to compare the book to the car. And yeah it's a newly re-built stock 1600cc engine. And just as a disclaimer some of the terms I used I got from my grandpa, so they are according to him.  Did I see on here where you can get a not so much a stock replacement but a replacement part that'll work to replace that emissions canister, if I needed to?? How hard is it to clean?? just run some gumout or plain water through it or what?? And as far the adjusting the idle I think that's what my gpa was telling me about and I just wanted to make sure he was right.

Clancy: I thought it should of been a lot tighter but gpa said it was supposed to be like that. just the lightest touch of it and it's up there.

Also guys the gas pedal well it goes up and I have to manually shove it back. I'm thinking that I should/need to replace both the clutch and accelerator cable am I thinking right?? Also if you remember Clancy I had/still have my starting problem, would that have anything to do with a bad fuse b/c I wonder how good the ones that are in it are, look pretty old.

hey guys remember me?> well started the car up today and is the evaporator the thing inside the back passenger side fender?? I noticed that there's a couple of lines coming from it where do these lines go?? Also I'd like to know how the other vacuum line goes that connects on the top of the oil cooler(it's what my gpa said it was, sits on top of the carb) I know how the right hand(passenger) side goes but what about the other?? And I noticed when it was runing that it was ideling a little quicker than I like how do I adjust it?? I've tried turning the distributer but that don't work.
