Topic: Very Unique 1971 VW Beetle for Sale

Hey gang if you want to have the most noticed ride in town take a peek at this very unique bug. The automotive division of 3M built this car to be used at trade shows. It showcased what can be done with the automotive products manufactured by 3M so the car is half original and half restored!

If you own a body shop this would be a great show piece for you, but in my opinion this would make a great daily driver - imagine the fun you'd have with this - not to mention the conversations you'd pick up at car shows and on the street. smile

The gas tank has been removed so that the car could be used safely at indoor trade shows but a correct gas tank does come with the car. It wouldn't take much to get this car back to running and driving should you decide to do so.

The car is currently up for auction on ebay again (last deal fell through), you can see more photos and video of this unique 1971 Beetle here, as well as a link to the auction.

Why no one has snatched this beauty up is beyond me - I mean come on think of all the girls who'd fall all over you... just to get to the restored side. smile

Hey unique beetle fans (how do you catch a unique Beetle... U nique up on it) this schizophrenic beetle has had a make over - she now Runs and Drives! smile

The car has a clear title, current plates and it runs and drives like a champ. There are some wires that need to be plugged into the wiring harness in order for all of the electrical to work as it should, but this bug runs, drives, idles and stops. It has not been road tested much but it starts right up and runs strong. The shifting isn't as smooth as it could be but what is a classic bug without a bit of work to do.

It is up on ebay once again with the new modifications and has met the reserve so (hopefully) this would be your last chance to keep it for yourself. Stop by and take a peek.

You know Don I don't remember exactly but I think she sold for $2500 or so maybe it was less more like 1500 I don't recall - sure was a looker eh? smile
