Yes, it's a 1967 bug, and an engine with that number is a 1500cc, 44hp.
See below for details, and, welcome to Volkswebbin!

PS: If you are getting clutch parts, this is the year they started using the larger 200mm diameter clutch.
Paul
thank you very much i do appreciate it can i beef this engine up with bigger jugs and pistons.
Hiya beasley,
Welcome aboard!
Just an addendum to what Paul had to offer..............
Yes the "H" series of engines started production in 1967 and were discontinued at the end of the 1970 production year. As originally constructed these engines were 1500s.
But here's the caveat........... what you have on your hands right now very well may NOT be a 1500. Most of these engines have been rebuilt several times since their original incarnation. It is VERY common to rebuild a 1500 as a 1600. One cannot REALLY tell just what that engine is nowadays without disassembling and measuring.
Hiya beasley,
Whoops, you answered while I was posting!
Yes, as inferenced by my reply above, you can make a 1500 into a 1600 (or more). Many have done so. But do realize that in building a 1600 or performance engine the case upon which you build is important. The "H" series were single relief cases with 8 mm oil passages. A dual port case (an "AE" case for example) is dual relief and has 10 mm oil passages. Much more desireable for bigger engines.

Yeah, I forgot about that, you'd have to measure the cylinder bore and the crankshaft stroke by removing a cylinder head.
Matter of fact, I don't even know what size my motor is because it was running well and I did not want to pull a head just to check.
But at least for external parts, you can order for a 1500... unless those have been changed too!
Paul
thks for your help i know someone has been into this motor but how far i dont know i will let u know how it runs when i get it going again thks for the help.
