Topic: filler neck hose

A couple years ago I replaced the hose between my fuel tank and where the fuel is pumped in.  I noticed it has started cracking out, may start leaking soon.  Is there one out there that someone else has used and not had any problems with?  Maybe I should have bought a better quality one?  Here is what I bought before:

Has anyone else been able to find the short piece of hose that goes on the other side of the tank return?  I found the tee-to-tank elbow, but I can't find the other half of that hose or fuel hose of a similar size.  Here is what I have now:

I found a website a long time ago that was out of stock, but nothing since.

Sometimes you can find something that works at the local flaps.

piece number 11 is the one that I replaced and is now cracking.  I don't remember the short number 10 pieces.  Did I miss something? 

The one I am still needing to get is number 6, and possible number 3 (I suspect a crack in the plastic of the T-Piece).

You are missing the seals inside #11. They are thin rubber sleeves.

You need 15mm hose for #6 and I have a spare T if you want it. 5/8th hose will work.

This place has all the proper hose clamps. Way better than worm gear. $10 end cutting pliers work almost as good on the ear type as the expensive special tool. They also have original style brass spade connectors.

If you use straight hose, buy a spring to put in the inside so it will bend and not kink making a corner wink
  The large filler hose you can get at flaps and regular hose clamps work OK.    JMHO

I never thought of a spring inside but come to think of it that's how really heavy hose is reinforced.

You can also cut the hose in two pieces and use a barbed 5/8" elbow.

I will be sure to put a spring in there or go with a barbed approach, sounds a lot better than a kinked hose.

Try the spring. That is two less places for it to leak fuel wink  JMHO
